Comprehension Bookmarks (25-Pack)

Support students’ reading comprehension with these Comprehension Bookmarks. The front of this bookmark outlines the reading process and what students should be thinking about before, during, and after reading to best support their understanding of the material. The other side outlines the Comprehension Guide, including the 5 Levels of Comprehension Processing. Use these 5 levels to teach students how to comprehend information.

The bookmark’s two-sided design doubles the use you get out of them and provides a visual anchor for students. Whether you tape them to the students’ desks or use them as a traditional bookmark, these are sure to support comprehension development.

How we use them:

Use these bookmarks as visual cues throughout our instruction.

Have students follow along with the Reading Process to determine what questions they should consider before, during, and after reading to fully grasp the information.  

Flip the bookmark over and have students answer comprehension questions aligned to the 5 Levels of Processing to explicitly teach them how to understand what they are reading.
